Türkiye’s Beauty Takes Center Stage at Arts Council

 

KARACHI:
The Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi, is hosting a four-day photography exhibition titled Capturing the Timeless Beauty of Türkiye, featuring the work of acclaimed Turkish photographer Resul Celik.

The exhibition, which commenced on Monday, was inaugurated by Turkish Consul General Cemal Sangu, Arts Council Secretary Ejaz Ahmed Farooqi, and the photographer himself. It will remain open to visitors until Thursday.

The event has drawn a significant number of art enthusiasts, including Sri Lanka’s Consul General Jagath Abeywarna, Director of the Yunus Emre Institute Halil Toker, Arts Council Central Institute of Arts and Craft Principal Shahid Rasam, and MNA Ramesh Kumar.

Celik has presented 40 striking photographs capturing Türkiye’s cultural and natural landscapes. His work showcases diverse subjects, including scenic landscapes, portraits, and historic landmarks from various Turkish cities.

A highlight of the exhibition is a powerful image of the tomb of Ertugrul Ghazi, the revered warrior and father of Osman, who founded the Ottoman Empire.

Speaking at the inauguration, Turkish Consul General Cemal Sangu praised the exhibition for providing an authentic glimpse into Türkiye’s breathtaking scenery, from its majestic mountains and rivers to its iconic minarets. Celik expressed gratitude to the Arts Council and visitors for their support, emphasizing his passion for sharing Türkiye’s beauty through his lens.
