Samsung postpones Galaxy S25 Slim release to May.

Samsung fans are eagerly anticipating the company’s Unpacked event on January 22, where it’s expected to unveil its flagship Galaxy S25 series, including the S25 Ultra, S25, and S25+. However, the highly anticipated ultra-slim Galaxy S25 Slim will reportedly be delayed until May, according to recent rumors circulating on the Chinese social media platform Weibo.

While the source of this information is not highly reputable, the suggestion aligns with the absence of major leaks about the device’s development. Previous reports, including benchmark leaks and clues from One UI 7 Beta code, hint at a May or Q2 2025 launch window for the S25 Slim.

The device is expected to be extremely thin, with a rumored thickness of just 6.5mm, making it thinner than its S25+ and Ultra counterparts. Leaks indicate the S25 Slim will feature a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and advanced battery technology that may allow it to maintain a 5,000mAh capacity despite its slim design.

Competition is stiff, as the iPhone 17 Air is expected to launch at an even slimmer 5.5mm, further fueling the trend toward thinner smartphones. While official details remain scarce, fans are hopeful that the January event will offer a teaser, providing further insight into the S25 Slim’s potential features.
