The entertainment world is mourning the loss of Dalyce Curry, who tragically passed away in the recent Los Angeles wildfires. Dalyce, beloved for her roles in iconic films like The Ten Commandments and Lady Sings the Blues, was 95 years old. She died in the destructive Eaton Fire in Altadena, which completely destroyed her home.
The coroner confirmed Dalyce’s death on Sunday, January 12, 2025, after her remains were found at the site. Her death marks the end of an era for Hollywood.
On the night of the fire, Dalyce had returned home from a series of hospital appointments. She was dropped off by her granddaughter, Kelley, around midnight on Tuesday. The following morning, Kelley received a distressing text that the power had gone out at her grandmother’s house. When she arrived to check on Dalyce, a police officer delivered the devastating news: “I’m sorry your grandmother’s property is gone. It totally burned down.”
The fire left nothing standing except for Dalyce’s blue Cadillac, highlighting the utter devastation caused by the blaze.
