The Punjab government has updated its winter holiday schedule for schools, now announcing that the break will begin on December 23.
This change comes just one day after a notification was issued by the provincial education department stating that the winter holidays would run from December 20 to January 10, 2025. A new notification released on Wednesday amended the start date, with schools set to reopen on January 13, following the weekly off days on January 11 and 12.
The government also confirmed that the mandate to wear face masks within school premises will remain in place. Chief Executive Officers (DEAs) in the region have been instructed to ensure the compliance of this revised holiday schedule across all schools in the province.
Additionally, the Sindh Education Department has released its winter vacation schedule for both public and private institutions, confirming that the holidays will be observed from December 21 to December 31, 2024.
