Hanni Accuses ADOR and HYBE of Misrepresenting Messages in Court Amid NJZ Legal Dispute

During a court hearing on March 7 in Seoul, ADOR and NJZ (NewJeans) clashed over an ongoing management dispute, with group members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein present. The hearing centered on ADOR’s injunction request, initially filed in January, but the case took a dramatic turn when Hanni accused ADOR and HYBE of misrepresenting her past messages in court.

Following the hearing, Hanni took to Instagram to publicly criticize ADOR and HYBE, alleging that they had manipulated her words to suit their narrative. “How can you take one part of a conversation and twist its meaning to support your argument?” she wrote. In a subsequent post, she warned that while she had previously avoided escalating the issue, she would no longer remain silent if further false claims were made.

Hanni’s statements quickly sparked a wave of support on social media, with fans applauding her for speaking out. Many criticized HYBE and ADOR, referencing past allegations of fabricated messages and expressing concerns over NJZ’s independence. Some fans emphasized that NJZ’s legal battle is focused on securing greater autonomy from the label, while others accused ADOR of attempting to control the group’s public image.

ADOR’s legal team, however, defended the company’s contributions to NewJeans’ success, citing HYBE’s 21 billion KRW investment, branding strategies, and promotional efforts. They argued that NJZ members lacked sufficient legal grounds to terminate their contracts. In response, NJZ’s representatives highlighted issues such as biased media coverage, conflicts with production teams, and alleged preferential treatment given to other HYBE artists.

As both sides presented conflicting arguments, the court’s decision could significantly impact NJZ’s future. Fans remain deeply invested in the outcome as tensions between the group and ADOR continue to rise.
