Four Terrorists Killed in Foiled Infiltration Attempt at Pak-Afghan Border

RAWALPINDI – Pakistani security forces successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt by a group of terrorists attempting to cross the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the Rajgal area of Khyber District.

The movement of the terrorist group was detected on the night of December 19-20, 2024. Pakistani troops promptly engaged the attackers, preventing their infiltration and killing four terrorists in the process.

During the fierce exchange of gunfire, Sepoy Amir Sohail Afridi, a brave soldier from District Khyber, made the ultimate sacrifice and was martyred while defending the nation.

In a statement, Pakistan reiterated its demand for the Afghan government to ensure proper border management on its side of the border. The interim Afghan government is expected to fulfill its responsibilities and prevent terrorist groups from using Afghan soil to target Pakistan.

Pakistan’s security forces remain steadfast in their commitment to protecting the country’s borders and eradicating terrorism, with the sacrifices of soldiers like Afridi further strengthening the resolve to maintain peace and security.
