Wendy Williams Discloses Her Cats Have Been Sold During Conservatorship

Wendy Williams revealed that her beloved cats, Chit Chat and My Way, were taken from her during her ongoing conservatorship without her knowledge or consent. In an interview aired on January 16, Wendy shared her distress, saying, “My cats have been sold… I had no idea.” She explained that the cats, whom she adopted in 2019, were taken by her court-appointed guardian, Sabrina Morrissey. Wendy had named one cat “My Way” following her separation from her ex-husband, and the other, “Chit Chat,” was named for her talkative nature.

Wendy also addressed claims made by her guardian that she was “cognitively impaired” and “permanently incapacitated,” refuting them by stating, “I am not cognitively impaired,” but adding, “I feel like I’m in prison.” She spoke about feeling isolated in her current New York facility, which mostly houses older residents, and described her environment as unsettling.

Additionally, her niece, Alex Finnie, claimed that Wendy has not had a medical evaluation to assess her ability to regain her rights. She suggested that Sabrina is preventing Wendy from living a healthy and independent life, asserting, “It’s almost as if she doesn’t want my aunt to show that she’s healthy and independent.”
