President-elect Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, attended a prayer service at St. John’s Episcopal Church on the morning of his inauguration.
Dressed in formal attire, the couple traveled from Blair House, the traditional residence for presidential guests, to the church located near the White House.
The service was attended by prominent figures, including Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew. Argentine President Javier Milei and former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson were also present, as reported by Bloomberg.
This gathering marked a symbolic moment ahead of Trump’s inauguration, with political and business leaders joining the event. St. John’s Episcopal Church holds a contentious history with Trump, as he faced criticism in 2020 from religious leaders for a photo opportunity outside the church holding a Bible, following a clash with Black Lives Matter protesters.
