Trump Dismisses Multiple National Security Council Members: Reports

Trump Removes Key National Security Officials After Meeting With Right-Wing Influencer

U.S. President Donald Trump has dismissed at least three senior members of his National Security Council (NSC) following a private meeting with far-right media personality Laura Loomer, according to multiple reports on Thursday.

During an Oval Office discussion on Wednesday, Loomer reportedly urged Trump to fire several officials, accusing them of lacking loyalty to his administration. According to CNN, the officials removed include Brian Walsh, Director for Intelligence; Thomas Boodry, Senior Director for Legislative Affairs; and David Feith, Senior Director for Technology and National Security.

While the exact number of dismissals remains uncertain, Axios cited an anonymous source claiming that up to 10 staffers had been let go.

Trumpโ€™s Principal Deputy National Security Adviser, Alex Wong, has so far retained his position but may also face removal soon, CNN reported.

When asked for a statement, the National Security Council declined to comment, saying it does not publicly discuss personnel decisions.

Loomer Responds but Stays Silent on Meeting Details

Loomer, who is known for her controversial political activism, acknowledged her meeting with Trump in a post on X (formerly Twitter) but refrained from revealing any specifics.

“Out of respect for President @realDonaldTrump and the privacy of the Oval Office, Iโ€™m going to decline on divulging any details about my Oval Office meeting with President Trump. It was an honor to meet with President Trump and present him with my research findings,” she wrote.

She further emphasized her ongoing support for Trumpโ€™s policies, particularly regarding national security and strict vetting procedures.

“I will continue working hard to support his agenda and will reiterate the necessity of STRONG VETTING to protect the President of the United States and our national security,” Loomer added.
