Tory Lanez’s Prison Recording Interrupted by Riot

Despite serving a 10-year sentence for the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, Tory Lanez has continued to record music from behind bars. However, his latest session took an unexpected turn when a prison riot erupted mid-recording.

As reported by TMZ, Lanez was in the middle of laying down a verse when a fight broke out nearby. Footage obtained by the outlet captures him rapping as the situation escalates, eventually forcing him to stop as prison officers intervened using pepper spray to restore order.

So far, neither Lanez nor prison officials have issued a statement regarding the incident. This is not the first challenge he has faced while recording behind bars. Earlier, correctional officers confiscated his recording equipment during a cell raid, citing that inmates are not allowed to possess such devices.

His legal team later confirmed the confiscation, with Ceasar McDowell, CEO of Unite the People, explaining that authorities justified the action by claiming security concerns. Lanez, however, took to Instagram to express his frustration, suggesting the real reason was the growing influence of his Prison Tapes series, which he claims has drawn unwanted attention from prison officials.

Despite these setbacks, Lanez remains committed to his cause. Since July, he has helped secure legal representation for 472 inmates and has played a role in reopening 476 cases. Now more than two years into his sentence, the Canadian rapper continues to advocate for prison reform and support fellow inmates through his music and legal efforts.
