Timothy Simons Fumbles Lines in Coors Light’s 2025 Super Bowl Ad Teaser

Timothy Simons is no stranger to comedic mishaps, and he embraced it for Coors Light’s 2025 Super Bowl ad. In the teaser for the much-anticipated commercial, Simons struggles to deliver a simple line while on a sitcom set. The line “That’s not my problem” quickly spirals into humorous blunders, with Simons accidentally saying things like, “That’s not my pasta.”

Rich Sommer, playing the director, grows increasingly frustrated as he tries to guide Simons through the scene, leading to a hilarious moment when Sommer asks, “Do you have a case of the Mondays?” before handing Simons a 12-pack of “Mondays Light” and informing him he’s been replaced.

Simons, 46, shared his own experiences with flubbing lines in an interview with PEOPLE, admitting that it’s something he’s familiar with. He recalls a particularly embarrassing moment where a director signaled that only he was at fault, causing Simons to break into a cold sweat. “I bombed so hard that the director pointed at me, and the only thing that went wrong was me,” he said.

He also reflected on the challenges of improvising on set, noting that sometimes his best jokes fall flat. “You think you’ve got a perfect joke, but it just doesn’t land,” Simons explained.

Despite the ad’s comical premise, Simons said the filming process was enjoyable, particularly because of his long friendship with Rich Sommer. “It was fun to spend the day with him,” Simons said. “A lot of the stuff that came up was just reacting to him. It was a really great time.”
