Tasha K has accused Cardi B of attempting to sabotage her career and bankruptcy case, nearly three years after a court ordered her to pay $3.4 million in a defamation lawsuit. In 2020, Tasha K was found guilty of making false claims that Cardi B was a drug-abusing prostitute with STIs.
In newly uncovered court filings, Tasha K claims that Cardi B is attempting to financially “bully” her by exposing alleged secret offshore trust accounts in the Cook Islands, Nevis, and Georgia. She also alleges that Cardi B is conditioning any potential debt settlement on limiting her ability to freely express herself on her blogs and social media platforms. These accusations are part of a larger legal dispute related to Tasha K’s bankruptcy case.
Cardi B’s legal team has responded by accusing Tasha K of transferring assets fraudulently to her husband, Cheickna Kebe, in an effort to avoid payment. They highlight the contradiction between Tasha K’s reported assets of under $60,000 and her continued lavish lifestyle, including renting a $7,000-a-month apartment. Cardi B has requested that the court dismiss Tasha K’s bankruptcy case and prevent her from reapplying for two years.
Outside the courtroom, Tasha K remains active, having recently hosted a sold-out New Year’s Eve event in Houston. Known for her controversial YouTube channel, she has been involved in several defamation lawsuits, adding to her contentious public image.
Meanwhile, Cardi B is focusing on both her career and personal life. She is preparing to release her highly anticipated second album while also navigating her ongoing divorce from Offset. Additionally, she is nominated for Best Rap Performance at the Grammy Awards on February 2.
