Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss’ Family Criticizes Allison Holker’s Memoir for Disclosing Private Details

Allison Holker, widow of the late Stephen “tWitch” Boss, is facing criticism after revealing private details about his life in her upcoming memoir, This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light. In a recent interview with People, Holker shared that she found a hidden stash of drugs, including mushrooms and pills, in Boss’ closet after his 2022 suicide.

These revelations have sparked backlash from Boss’ close friend, Courtney Ann Platt, who called Holker’s actions “tacky, classless, and opportunistic” in an Instagram post. Platt also accused Holker of mistreating Boss’ mother and requiring funeral guests to sign non-disclosure agreements. “You’re a living, breathing bulldozer,” Platt wrote, urging Holker to focus on healing instead of damaging Boss’ legacy.

Boss’ brother, Dré Rose, supported Platt’s remarks by reposting them on his Instagram and expressing his agreement. Rose has also raised concerns about strained family dynamics, noting the limited communication regarding Boss’ children and their relationship with their grandmother. He described the situation as “disheartening” and criticized the way the family’s grief has been handled.

Holker’s memoir, which is meant to document her healing process, has sparked a wider conversation about how personal grief is shared publicly. While some view the book as an honest reflection of her journey, others feel it risks overshadowing Boss’ positive legacy as a beloved dancer and TV personality.
