An Air Busan Airbus caught fire at Gimhae International Airport in South Korea on Tuesday while preparing for a flight to Hong Kong. The fire, which originated in the planeโs tail, prompted the evacuation of all 169 passengers and seven crew members. Three individuals sustained minor injuries, according to local fire authorities in Busan.
Footage from YTN showed both evacuation slides deployed and emergency responders combating smoke and flames. Later images revealed burned holes along the fuselage’s roof. This incident comes just a month after South Korea experienced its deadliest air disaster.
