Security Forces Eliminate Six Militants in Karak Operation

Security forces successfully eliminated six militants during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Karak district, the military’s media wing reported on Friday.

According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched following intelligence reports about the presence of extremist elements, referred to as “khwarij.” Upon engaging the identified location, security forces neutralized six terrorists.

The ISPR emphasized that this operation is part of broader efforts to eradicate terrorist threats from the region. “The sanitization process is ongoing to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining threats,” the statement added.

The military also reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and security, acknowledging the sacrifices made by personnel involved in counterterrorism efforts.
