Flyadeal Launches Flight Operations to Pakistan with Inaugural Karachi Landing

Saudi Arabia’s low-cost airline, Flyadeal, has officially launched its operations in Pakistan, marking the occasion with its maiden flight’s arrival at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on Saturday.

According to a statement from the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), Flyadeal’s first flight (F3-661) landed at 8:00 AM and received a ceremonial water salute upon arrival.

The airline is set to operate two weekly flights to Karachi from Riyadh and Jeddah, providing passengers with a new direct travel option. The inaugural flight originated from Riyadh, marking the beginning of Flyadeal’s services to Pakistan.

Shahid Qadir, a representative from Aviation Security, emphasized that the airline’s expansion into Pakistan would not only enhance travel accessibility but also generate employment opportunities.

Initially, Flyadeal plans to operate four flights per week—two from Karachi and two from Lahore—using Airbus A320 aircraft. This makes it the third Saudi airline to serve Pakistan, alongside Saudi Arabian Airlines and Flynas, both of which already offer regular flights.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has granted Flyadeal the necessary permissions to conduct air operations to and from Pakistan.

Farhan Memon, a travel industry expert, highlighted that Pakistani travelers constitute a significant portion of Umrah pilgrims heading to Saudi Arabia. He noted that Flyadeal has recognized a strategic business opportunity, particularly as its launch coincides with the ongoing Umrah season, providing more travel options for Pakistani passengers.
