Rohit Sharma has expressed confidence that Virat Kohli will overcome his struggles with deliveries going outside the off-stump. Kohli recently ended a long period of poor form with a century in the first Test in Perth. However, he has been dismissed several times in the ongoing series for chasing balls moving away from his stumps.
Rohit believes that great players like Kohli will find their own ways to handle these challenges. Ahead of the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, he told reporters that modern-day cricket stars always figure out solutions to their issues.
Rohit himself has struggled in recent matches, scoring only 3, 6, and 10 in his last few innings since returning to the team. He remains quiet about a possible return to the opening position, saying that decisions about batting positions should be made internally within the team.
India won the first Test but lost the second and drew the third. Rohit emphasized that the series is tied 1-1, and the upcoming Tests will be crucial for both teams. India has also added Mumbai all-rounder Tanush Kotian to the squad for the final two Tests, after ruling out pacer Mohammed Shami due to injury.
