The speculation started after a video from the 2007 BAFTA Awards resurfaced, prompting online users to suggest tension between the two. Witherspoon immediately shot down the rumors, labeling them as “completely UNTRUE” and “so silly.”
In the same vein, Witherspoon has previously shared moments of Hollywood awkwardness. In a recent interview with People, she recalled an incident where she unintentionally offended an actress while presenting an award, mistakenly thinking it was a roast. The misunderstanding led to the actress stopping communication with Witherspoon, though the actress’s name was not revealed.
