Rapper Sha EK Charged with Attempted Murder in Bronx Shooting Case

Bronx drill rapper Sha EK, born Chalim Perry, is facing 23 charges, including multiple counts of attempted murder, following his arrest in connection to a July 2024 shooting.

The incident occurred in the Mott Haven area of the Bronx, near the Patterson Houses, where three individuals sustained injuries and were hospitalized. Authorities allege that Sha EK played a role in the violent altercation.

Although the shooting took place last summer, law enforcement apprehended the 21-year-old musician earlier this month. He is now facing charges that include three counts of attempted murder, assault, weapons possession, and intent to commit murder.

Sha EK has garnered a significant following, boasting over 340,000 subscribers on YouTube. His music career took off in 2022 when he signed with Warner Records and dropped his debut mixtape, ‘Face of the What.’

One of his standout tracks, ‘D&D,’ gained widespread recognition, amassing over 8 million streams on Spotify. Despite the charges against him, Sha EK has pleaded not guilty to all allegations.
