A local court on Wednesday extended the interim bail of social media influencer Rajab Butt and others in a case involving alleged death threats made against TikToker Umar Butt. The court also instructed the police to submit a detailed report by the next hearing.
The session court, presided over by Additional Sessions Judge Abid Ali, heard the case, with the accused—Rajab Butt, Haider Ali, and Man Dogar—appearing before the judge. Defense lawyer Junaid Khan argued that his clients had already cooperated with the investigation and requested the court to confirm their bail. Judge Abid Ali extended the interim bail of the accused until March 24 and directed the police to present their findings in the case.
The case stems from an incident last month, where Rajab Butt and seven others were accused of threatening TikToker Umer Fayyaz Butt. According to the complaint, Rajab Butt, Mann Dogar, and Haider Shah, accompanied by armed individuals, allegedly visited Umer Fayyaz’s residence in the morning. The complaint, filed by Umer Fayyaz, alleges that Dogar used abusive language and issued threats during a TikTok live session. Umer Fayyaz described the incident as an attack on his dignity and has sought legal action against Butt and his associates.
Police confirmed that a case has been registered and that legal proceedings are ongoing. Rajab Butt, known for his family vlogs, has faced multiple legal issues, including a separate case in Karachi.
During the TikTok live session that sparked the controversy, Umer Butt reportedly used offensive language directed at Rajab Butt’s mother and sister while interacting with Maan Dogar, a close associate of Rajab Butt. In response, Rajab Butt defended his family and criticized Umer Butt, questioning the authenticity of both Umer and his brother, Ali Butt. He accused them of damaging the reputations of several girls through their behavior.
Rajab Butt also issued a warning to Umer and Ali Butt, threatening to reveal personal secrets if they continued to target his family in their disputes. The case has drawn significant attention, highlighting the tensions and conflicts within the social media community.
