Rachel Zegler Praised Online After Troll Shames Her for Body Hair Amid ‘Snow White’ Release

Rachel Zegler received overwhelming support online after a social media user tried to shame her for having visible back hair in a resurfaced photo. The controversy began when X (formerly Twitter) user David Santa Carla shared an image of the actress from the 2022 Hollywood Reporter Emmy Party, ridiculing her natural body hair and connecting it to Disney’s alleged financial struggles.

“This is why Disney is about to lose $300MM…” the user wrote, adding, “Back hair on women gives me the ick.” While a few commenters agreed, the majority of responses were critical, with many users, especially women, condemning the unrealistic beauty standards and lack of understanding about women’s bodies. One user replied, “Lemme guess… you’re a virgin,” while another commented, “Local man finds out women have body hair. Stay tuned for more information.”

This isn’t the first time Zegler has faced public scrutiny over her body hair. After a similar comment about her appearance at the 2021 Met Gala, she responded, “No, I think hair is natural and cool!!!!!!!!” She has also previously celebrated body hair, tweeting in 2019, “The hair on our arms is gorgeous and should be worshipped thank u amen.”

Zegler continues to defy traditional beauty standards both online and in her career. She is set to star in Disney’s upcoming live-action *Snow White*, scheduled for release on March 21. While the film has sparked discussions about representation and storytelling choices, Zegler remains committed to promoting authenticity and challenging Hollywood’s narrow expectations.

Despite the criticism, her message is clear: body hair is natural, and no one should be shamed for it.
