Hector David Jr., famous for portraying the Green Samurai Power Ranger, has been sentenced to jail after pleading guilty to assaulting an elderly man in Nampa, Idaho, last year.
David admitted to misdemeanor battery in Canyon County Court, receiving a 180-day jail sentence. However, 135 days of the sentence were suspended, meaning he will serve 45 days in jail, followed by two years of supervised probation. Additionally, David is required to complete 100 hours of community service, as stated in court documents obtained by TMZ.
The assault occurred in July 2024 during an argument over a parking spot. Authorities revealed that David shoved the elderly man, who was using a walker, to the ground before fleeing the scene in his truck. While the victim was not seriously injured, footage of the incident, captured by a dashboard camera, was shared on the Nampa Police Department’s Facebook page in August, requesting the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
Community involvement played a key role in identifying David, leading to an arrest warrant and subsequent battery charges later that month. Nampa police officer Erick Moore expressed appreciation for the community’s assistance in quickly identifying the attacker.
David, who starred in the Power Rangers franchise from 2011 to 2015, now faces serious consequences for his actions, including jail time and community service.
