Pete Davidson Cheers for Ariana Grande’s Oscar Bid

Pete Davidson continues to show support for his ex-fiancée, Ariana Grande, as she reaches new heights in her career.

In a recent interview with Page Six on February 14, the comedian expressed admiration for Grande, 31, who has received widespread praise for her portrayal of Glinda in Wicked. Her performance has even earned her a 2025 Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

Although their paths rarely cross, Davidson, 31, made it clear that there’s no bad blood between them. “Whenever we see each other—which isn’t often since we run in different circles—it’s always positive,” he shared. “I really hope she wins the Oscar. She deserves it.”

Reflecting on his past relationships, Davidson emphasized that he holds deep respect for his former partners. “I’ve been fortunate to have had mature relationships with incredible women,” he said. “Even when things ended, it was always on good terms.”

Davidson and Grande were engaged in 2018 after a whirlwind romance, but they called it off just four months later.

Despite his success—having been one of the youngest-ever cast members on Saturday Night Live—Davidson admitted that his personal life often overshadowed his work.

He described the intense media scrutiny as “humiliating and frustrating,” adding, “Hollywood is full of people dating each other. Look at Paul Mescal, Timothée Chalamet, Barry Keoghan. But because I don’t fit the Hollywood stereotype, I became a constant headline. I was harassed for years, and it made my life miserable. It’s tough when you want recognition for your work, but instead, people only talk about your dating life.”

Davidson has been linked to several high-profile women, including Kim Kardashian, Kate Beckinsale, Phoebe Dynevor, and Margaret Qualley. His most recent relationship with Outer Banks star Madelyn Cline ended last summer.
