Pete Davidson is reportedly making efforts to rebuild his friendship with Colin Jost, and he’s willing to spend a significant amount of money to do so. The comedian, known for his role in *Bupkis*, recently gifted Jost a luxurious Cartier watch valued at $20,000, seemingly as a peace offering to mend their rumored rift, according to *Page Six*.
While the exact reason for their alleged fallout remains unclear, tensions reportedly arose after the duo’s joint purchase of a decommissioned Staten Island ferry in 2022. The two had ambitious plans to transform the retired vessel into a floating entertainment venue, but the project appeared to stall amid speculation of disagreements between them.
Davidson, who entered rehab last summer, reportedly presented Jost with the high-end timepiece shortly after his treatment. Sources suggest the gift was intended as a gesture of goodwill to repair their strained relationship.
Jost, however, has previously downplayed the drama surrounding their ferry purchase. In a June 2023 Instagram post, the *Saturday Night Live* star humorously refuted Davidson’s claim that they were under the influence when they bought the ferry. “Is it worse that I was actually stone-cold sober when we made the decision?” Jost quipped.
Embracing the situation with his signature wit, Jost expressed optimism about the ferry project, promising skeptics, “We’re excited to prove the non-believers wrong. In two years, you’ll be begging to get on this ferry. Mark my words.” He even playfully turned the venture into the “Ferry Money Tour,” inviting fans to join in on the journey.
Whether the extravagant gift will fully restore their friendship remains to be seen, but it’s clear Davidson is going all out to make amends.
