The untimely passing of Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff at the age of 62 has brought renewed attention to her life and legacy. The actress, who was married to David Hasselhoff from 1989 to 2006, was discovered deceased at her Los Angeles residence on March 5. Her death was later determined to be a suicide.
Terry Ahern, Pamela’s longtime friend and representative, fondly remembers her as “the kindest person you’d ever meet.” Ahern expressed his shock at her passing, stating, “She was the last person in the world I would think [would do that]. It’s a shock.” He revealed that he had no prior indication that Pamela was struggling with her mental health.
The last time Ahern spoke with Pamela was a few months ago, when she was enthusiastically sharing her joy about her new granddaughter, London. “[She was] just [saying] how she was over the moon being a grandmother—over the moon,” Ahern recalled.
Ahern also shared that Pamela had been dealing with the long-term effects of a severe motorcycle accident in 2003, which left her with a broken neck and back. “That plagued her—the arthritis from it,” he explained. “Because that stuff catches up to you when you get older—injuries that are [from] earlier, arthritis sets in… Pam’s body was ravaged by arthritis caused by the accident.”
Despite her physical and emotional challenges, Ahern remembers Pamela as a warm and compassionate individual. “She had so many friends,” he said. “People loved her to death. She loved people. She loved animals.”
Reflecting on her passing, Ahern shared, “The sad thing is, when you love somebody and you know them and this happens, the first thing you think about is—they had all that built up inside, and I couldn’t see it.”
He concluded by honoring Pamela’s legacy, saying, “Pamela stood for kindness, sweetness, and love, plain and simple. She loved animals and people and cherished her family… Her big smile and laugh will forever leave an impression on our hearts.”
The family has requested privacy during this difficult time, stating, “We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support but kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging period.”
Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff’s life, marked by both joy and struggle, leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will be remembered by those who knew her.
