Pakistani National Deported from US Over Security Concerns

A Pakistani national living unlawfully in the United States has been deported by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after being flagged as a national security concern.

In an official statement, ICE confirmed that Syed Rizvi, 56, was ordered to be removed from the US after intelligence sources identified him as a priority threat under the Immigration and Nationality Act.

“Illegal aliens suspected or known to have ties to organizations that threaten public safety will not find refuge in the US,” stated Josh Johnson, Acting Director of the Enforcement and Removals Operations (ERO) Dallas Field Office. He emphasized that the agency’s top priority is to “arrest and remove those who pose an imminent danger to the citizens of the US.”

**Details of the Case**
Rizvi was residing in Dallas, Texas, without legal authorization prior to his deportation. He was arrested by ERO Dallas on January 31 following a routine traffic stop. An immigration judge had ordered his removal on January 24.

According to ICE, Rizvi initially entered the US legally on September 20, 2017, through the New York port of entry. However, he later violated the terms of his admission, leading to his deportation.

**Broader Immigration Crackdown**
Since Donald Trump assumed the US presidency in January, the country has intensified efforts to crack down on individuals residing illegally within its borders. Hundreds of people have already been deported to their home countries or other destinations.

Last month, the US deported 119 individuals of various nationalities, including Pakistanis, to Panama. Additionally, reports suggest that a new travel ban by President Trump could soon restrict entry for citizens of Pakistan and other countries deemed to pose security or vetting risks.

The deportation of Rizvi highlights the ongoing enforcement of US immigration policies, particularly targeting individuals considered threats to national security. ICE continues to prioritize the removal of those who violate immigration laws or are linked to organizations that endanger public safety.
