Shahir Afridi Triumphs Over Indian Boxer in Thailand, Earns Spot Among Top 50 Worldwide

Pakistani boxer Shahir Afridi secured a decisive victory over his Indian opponent, Tarjot Singh Bawa, in an intense middleweight bout in Thailand.

The highly anticipated Pakistan-India boxing match ended with Afridi dominating Bawa in the fourth round. The referee halted the fight after assessing Bawa’s condition following a brutal third round, marking the end of the Indian boxer’s unbeaten record.

Afridi, a commando with Sindh Police, now holds an impressive professional record of 16 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss. This win is especially significant as Bawa had remained undefeated until his encounter with Afridi.

With this victory, Afridi has ascended into the top 50 boxers worldwide in his weight category, a remarkable achievement for the Pakistani athlete.

Sindh’s Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, praised Afridi’s success and announced rewards for him from the provincial government.

“The Sindh Police is incredibly proud of Shahir Afridi. He has brought honor to Sindh and Pakistan by defeating the Indian boxer,” said the Chief Minister in a statement.
