The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the match schedule for the 2025 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier, which will be held in Pakistan from April 9 to 19. The tournament will take place at two renowned venues in Lahore: the Gaddafi Stadium and the Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) Ground.
This sixth edition of the Qualifier will feature six teams, including four Full Members – Bangladesh, Ireland, Pakistan, and the West Indies – alongside Associate Members Scotland and Thailand. A total of 15 matches will be played in a league format, with the top two teams securing their places in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, scheduled for later this year.
Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and host nation India have already qualified for the World Cup, having finished in the top six of the ICC Women’s Championship (2022-25). Bangladesh, Ireland, Pakistan, and the West Indies earned their spots in the Qualifier by placing seventh to tenth in the Women’s Championship, while Thailand and Scotland qualified based on their rankings in the ICC Women’s ODI Team Rankings as of October 28, 2024.
Key matches in the Qualifier include a day-night clash between Pakistan and the West Indies on April 14 at Gaddafi Stadium, Bangladesh versus the West Indies at LCCA on April 17, and a highly anticipated sub-continental showdown between Pakistan and Bangladesh at LCCA on April 19.

The six competing teams are just one step away from the Women’s Cricket World Cup, and I am sure they will all be eagerly looking forward to the competition.”
He added, “On behalf of the ICC, I would like to wish the teams all the best for the tournament in Lahore as part of the build-up to the Cricket World Cup later this year.”
