Pakistan has secured the 12th position among 145 nations in the 2025 Global Firepower (GFP) Index, recognizing it as one of the world’s top military powers. Meanwhile, neighboring India ranks 4th on the list.
According to the GFP report, Pakistan holds the 7th spot globally in air fleet strength, while India is positioned 4th. In naval power, Pakistan is ranked 27th, whereas India stands at 6th place.
The GFP Index evaluates military strength using over 60 factors, including military assets, financial resources, logistics, and geographic advantages. Pakistan received a PowerIndex (PwrIndx) score of 0.2513, with 0.0000 being a perfect score.
While both countries continue to enhance their military capabilities, the index indicates India maintains a superior position in certain areas such as naval and air power.
