Pakistan Calls on UNSC to Act Against Israeli Aggression in Gaza, West Bank

Pakistan Urges UN Security Council to Take Action Against Israeli Aggression

Pakistan has called on the United Nations Security Council to take decisive action against Israel’s ongoing aggression in Gaza and the West Bank. The appeal was made during a Security Council briefing on the humanitarian situation in Gaza, where Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Munir Akram, delivered a strong statement condemning Israel’s recent escalation of violence.

Ambassador Akram denounced Israel’s renewed bombardment of Gaza and its systematic blockade of humanitarian aid, which has exacerbated the suffering of the Palestinian population. He also highlighted the expansion of Israel’s military operations, including daily raids, settler violence, and illegal land annexations in the West Bank. Akram described these actions as part of a deliberate effort to ethnically cleanse the Palestinian people from their land.

In his address, Akram emphasized the need for a credible political process that would lead to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital. He urged the international community to uphold its responsibilities and ensure justice for the Palestinian people.

Pakistan’s statement underscores the urgency of addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the West Bank, as well as the importance of achieving a lasting and just resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
