Pakistan, Bahrain talk security and military ties

Commander of the Bahrain National Guard, General Shaikh Mohammed Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, held a meeting with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, in Rawalpindi on Thursday. The discussions centered on regional security developments and strengthening defense collaboration between the two nations.

During the meeting, both leaders exchanged perspectives on the changing regional security landscape and highlighted the importance of deepening bilateral military ties. They also stressed the need to expand the scope of existing defense partnerships between Pakistan and Bahrain.

General Shaikh Mohammed Bin Isa praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and recognized their significant contributions and sacrifices in the global fight against terrorism.

Earlier, upon his arrival at the Joint Staff Headquarters, General Shaikh Mohammed Bin Isa was welcomed with a ceremonial ‘Guard of Honour’ by a well-organized tri-services contingent.
