Pakistan Announces Preliminary Squad for ICC Champions Trophy

 

Pakistan has submitted a preliminary squad comprising over 20 players for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy.

The selection committee finalized the initial squad and sent it to the ICC two days ago. Among the players listed is opener Saim Ayub, who has been included as a potential contender.

The squad features prominent names such as captain Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, Tayyab Tahir, Irfan Khan Niazi, Sufyan Muqeem, Mohammad Hasnain, Abdullah Shafiq, Naseem Shah, Usman Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed, Kamran Ghulam, Salman Ali Agha, Imam-ul-Haq, Fakhar Zaman, Hasibullah, and Abbas Afridi.

The final selection for the Champions Trophy is anticipated to be revealed on February 10, with possible adjustments expected. The participation of openers Abdullah Shafiq and Usman Khan remains uncertain.
