PAF Chief Meets Uzbekistan Air Force Commander to Strengthen Military Ties

A high-level defense delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Major General Burkhonov Akhmad Jamalovich, Deputy Minister of Defence and Commander of the Air Defence Forces and Air Force of Uzbekistan, met with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force (PAF), at Air Headquarters in Islamabad.

The discussion focused on matters of mutual interest, enhancing bilateral military cooperation, joint training programs, and technological collaboration in the aerospace sector.

Upon his arrival, Major General Jamalovich was accorded a Guard of Honour by a well-disciplined contingent of the Pakistan Air Force.

During the meeting, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu emphasized the strong military ties between the two nations and reaffirmed PAF’s commitment to supporting Uzbekistan in training pilots, from basic to tactical levels, as well as providing technical training for maintenance crews to enhance their capabilities.

He also highlighted the deep-rooted religious and cultural connections between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, stressing their shared commitment to regional peace and security.
