PAF Forces Indian Rafale Jets to Pull Back Near LoC; Two Drones Downed

Four Indian Air Force Rafale fighter jets were forced to retreat after a prompt and alert response from the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) near the Line of Control (LoC), according to security officials on Wednesday.

The Indian aircraft were reportedly conducting a nighttime patrol within Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir between April 29 and 30. Upon detecting their activity, PAF jets immediately mobilized, leading the Indian planes to withdraw.

On the same day, the Pakistan Army successfully shot down two Indian surveillance drones, as confirmed by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The first unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), linked to the Indian Army’s 5 Assam Regiment, was intercepted in the Manawar sector near Bhimber. Later, a second UAV—a Phantom-4 model—was taken down in the Satwal sector while it was operating within Pakistani territory.

ISPR emphasized that the Pakistan Army remains fully prepared to respond to any Indian aggression along the LoC. Military analysts caution that India’s recent maneuvers could heighten tensions, while also underscoring the preparedness and professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces in defending the nation’s borders.
