KARACHI β The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has approved a gas price hike for the ongoing fiscal year.
According to an official statement from OGRA, the gas price for Sui Northern has been raised by 8.71%, while the price for Sui Southern will increase by 25.78%.
The new average gas price for Sui Northern has been set at 1,778 rupees and 35 paisa per MMBTU, while for Sui Southern, it will be 1,762 rupees and 51 paisa per MMBTU.
OGRA also mentioned that the proposed price adjustments have been sent to the federal government for further review. The final decision on the price hike will be made based on the governmentβs advice.
