National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stated on Wednesday that he is “ready to play his role” in facilitating dialogue between the government and opposition, particularly with PTI, with his “office and residence open 24 hours” for such discussions.
This remark followed comments by senior PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah, who had referred to the Speaker’s office as a “neutral venue” for talks. The invitation for dialogue was specifically extended to PTI MNA Sher Afzal Marwat, especially in light of the committee formed by PTIβs Imran Khan for political negotiations.
Sadiq, in a video message, emphasized that his office and residence are always open to both the government and opposition for talks, aiming to resolve conflicts over various issues such as national improvements, law and order, climate change, and provincial autonomy. He reiterated that he would ensure no shortcomings in his role as Speaker and would make his office accessible for constructive discussions.
