Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Saudi Envoy Reaffirm Commitment to Stronger Ties

ISLAMABAD – Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a meeting with Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmed Al-Malki at the Saudi embassy, where both leaders expressed their shared desire to further enhance bilateral cooperation and deepen the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The discussion focused on strengthening collaboration across economic, social, and security domains. Minister Naqvi extended his gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its continued support to Pakistan, particularly in the fields of economic relief and social development.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s dedication to fighting cross-border crimes, Naqvi underscored the country’s readiness to partner closely with Saudi authorities to counter drug trafficking and human smuggling. He highlighted recent initiatives, including the introduction of updated passport regulations aimed at preventing illegal immigration and addressing the issue of organized begging networks.

He also praised Saudi Arabia for the visa-free entry policy granted to Saudi nationals visiting Pakistan, calling it a symbol of the deep-rooted brotherly bond between the two nations.
