ISLAMABAD:
The National Assembly Standing Committee on Railways reviewed the budgetary proposals under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the Ministry of Railways and its affiliated departments for the fiscal year 2025-26 during a meeting held on Tuesday.
The session was presided over by MNA Rai Hassan Nawaz Khan, the committee’s chairperson.
During the meeting, the Secretary of the Ministry of Railways provided details on the ministry’s financial requests. He stated that the ministry had sought Rs65 billion from the PSDP in the previous year. However, the Finance Division initially approved Rs45 billion, which was later further reduced to Rs35 billion.
