Pakistan’s Mohammad Asif triumphed at the SAARC Snooker Championship, held at Colombo’s Moors Snooker Club, with a dominant 5-0 victory over Sri Lanka’s Thaha Arshath in the final, Express News reported.
Asif’s flawless performance featured frame scores of 99-3, 73-46, 85-38, 109-6, and 74-0, demonstrating his remarkable precision and cue mastery. He impressed further by achieving three breaks over 50 points, including a high break of 67 in both the opening and final frames.
This marks Asif’s third SAARC Snooker Championship title and his eighth overall career triumph, solidifying his status as one of the region’s top amateur snooker players.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated Asif on his exceptional achievement, praising his dedication and wishing him continued success.
