Actress Michelle Williams has welcomed her fourth child, her third with husband Thomas Kail, via surrogate, PEOPLE reports. The couple, known for keeping their personal life private, were seen in their New York neighborhood with their newborn, who arrived six weeks ago.
A close source shared that the couple is overjoyed about expanding their family, and their daughter Matilda, who is 18 and the daughter of the late Heath Ledger, has been very affectionate with her younger siblings. Williams, 44, also has two young children with Kail: Hart, 4, and another child born in 2022.
Known for her roles in The Fabelmans and Brokeback Mountain, Williams has been balancing her career and motherhood. She recently took a break after The Fabelmans and is now preparing for her return with the Hulu limited series Dying for Sex, set to premiere on April 4, 2025.
In a 2023 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Williams discussed the challenges of balancing career and family, saying, βMy heart obviously belongs to my children; they tug at it the most. But I really want to be able to have both.β
Williams and Kail, a Tony-winning director famous for Hamilton, have been married since 2020. Though the couple has not issued an official statement, itβs clear that their growing family is thriving.
