Melanie Lynskey Celebrates Husband Jason Ritter’s 45th Birthday with Heartfelt Tribute

Melanie Lynskey recently celebrated her husband Jason Ritter’s 45th birthday with a heartfelt and humorous tribute.

The Yellowjackets star, 47, took to Instagram on Monday, Feb. 17, to express her love and admiration for her husband, sharing a sincere and lighthearted message.

Reflecting on their relationship, Lynskey acknowledged how fortunate she feels to have Ritter by her side. “I get to spend every day with you. People you work with, longtime friends, even strangers ask me if I realize how lucky I am,” she wrote. “I do. I really, really do.”

She praised Ritter’s kindness and his ability to bring joy to those around him, noting that even after a long day, he still finds the energy to handle important household responsibilities.

“I’m so grateful for your skills—whether it’s assembling furniture, styling our daughter’s hair, listening and making thoughtful changes, or even trimming the cat’s nails,” she added.

Lynskey also injected humor into her post by playfully pointing out some minor annoyances in their relationship.

“While I sometimes wish I could lock your phone away for a few hours and that you’d stop yanking shirts from hangers so forcefully that they break, I honestly can’t complain. Those are small things in the grand scheme of life,” she joked.

She concluded her message with a warm and loving note. “I love you so much, Dringus. Your heart and your adorable face mean everything to me. Happy birthday.”

Accompanying her message, Lynskey shared a series of candid photos of Ritter, including snapshots with their 6-year-old daughter, a cozy moment with their family dog, and a fun image of comedian Ben Schwartz adjusting Ritter’s tie.

The couple’s love story dates back to 2013 when they met while working on The Big Ask. They later co-starred in We’ll Never Have Paris (2014) and The Intervention (2016). In 2018, they welcomed their daughter, and two years later, they tied the knot in an intimate wedding on their front porch.

One thing is certain—these two are true relationship goals!
