Meghan Markle may seize the opportunity to use Hollywood’s biggest night to promote her upcoming Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, according to PR experts.
The Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle show is set to premiere on March 4, and industry insiders speculate that attending the 2025 Oscars would signal her return to the entertainment industry.
PR specialist Lynn Carratt told Sportsbook Review that walking the Oscars red carpet—especially alone—would emphasize Meghan’s independence from the royal family and reinforce her focus on personal branding.
“It would highlight that she is actively building her brand outside the royal sphere, particularly if she attends solo,” Carratt explained. “It would also send a clear message that she is fully committed to re-establishing herself in the entertainment world.”
While Meghan and Prince Harry reportedly declined an invitation to last year’s Academy Awards, Carratt believes this year presents the perfect timing for her appearance.
“The Oscars red carpet could be an ideal platform for Meghan to promote her latest project,” she noted, adding that many of Meghan’s former Hollywood peers are involved in the series.
The Duchess initially postponed With Love, Meghan out of sensitivity toward those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.
The series will feature Meghan sharing her personal insights on cooking and gardening, with celebrity guests such as Mindy Kaling, Roy Choi, and Alice Waters.
