Meghan Markle Makes Announcement Regarding Netflix Partnership

Meghan Markle has made a thoughtful decision regarding the release of her upcoming project with Netflix, receiving full support from the streaming platform. The Duchess of Sussex had planned to launch her show in January, but in light of the catastrophic wildfires devastating Los Angeles and surrounding areas, she chose to delay the premiere to March 4.

In a statement released by Netflix, the company confirmed the shift in the release date, citing the ongoing disaster in Southern California. “At Meghan’s request, and with the full support of Netflix, we’ve moved the launch of her show, a tribute to Southern California’s beauty, to March 4,” the company said on their Tudum website. They further shared a message from Meghan: “I’m grateful to my partners at Netflix for supporting my decision to delay the release as we focus on helping those affected by the wildfires in California.”

While there were rumors that Meghan’s podcast series Archetypes, produced with Lemonada Media, might also be delayed, no official changes to its schedule have been confirmed.

Meghan, her husband Prince Harry, and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, reside in Montecito, located about 90 miles from the wildfire areas. On Friday, the couple took part in relief efforts, visiting the World Central Kitchen in Pasadena, where they helped distribute essential supplies, served meals, and interacted with families and elderly residents impacted by the fires. They have also opened their home to those affected by the disaster.
