Maria B Addresses Criticism from Aurat March Lahore Organizers

Maria B, a prominent fashion designer and businesswoman from Pakistan, has responded to the recent protest organized by Aurat March Lahore.

The protest, held on February 12 to commemorate Pakistan’s National Women’s Day, saw demonstrators march from the Press Club to Faletti’s Hotel, with placards targeting Maria B and former actress Mishi Khan.

In her response, Maria B dismissed the protest, calling it the “Qaum e Lout March” and the “Unsuccessful Women’s March.” She expressed that the public had already rejected such protests and voiced her disappointment with the actions of the demonstrators.

Maria B further criticized the protest organizers, alleging that their motivations were influenced by external funding and a hidden agenda. She also emphasized that most Pakistani women aim to live according to Islamic principles, seeking independence and success to support their families, rather than aligning with what she called unsuccessful individuals in their careers.

Her remarks have sparked debate, as she continues to advocate for women who aim to be strong contributors to their families, rather than supporting what she considers a controversial movement.
