Lady Louise Windsor’s boyfriend, Felix da Silva-Clamp, skipped the royal Christmas celebrations, despite the ongoing “Meghan Markle rule.” The 21-year-old royal, 16th in line to the throne, has been dating Silva-Clamp, a fellow University of St Andrews student. The couple reportedly met during a student play at the university, similar to how Princess Kate and Prince William first connected.
Though Silva-Clamp has gained the approval of Louise’s parents, including a positive conversation with the Duchess of Edinburgh earlier this year, he was absent from the Sandringham festivities. This sparked some interest, as royal fans remember when Queen Elizabeth II made an exception in 2017, allowing Meghan Markle to attend Christmas with Prince Harry before they were married.
Despite her boyfriend’s absence, Lady Louise made a fashionable appearance at the family gathering, wearing a £95 pink coat from Lipsy. Perhaps next year, Silva-Clamp will follow in the footsteps of other royal plus-ones like Meghan Markle and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and join the celebrations in Norfolk.
