Kyle Walker is reportedly on the verge of completing a loan move from Manchester City to AC Milan for the remainder of the 2024-25 season, with the option for a future permanent transfer still under negotiation. Milan, who had initially pursued Marcus Rashford, shifted their focus to the 34-year-old City defender after registration rules limited them to signing only one English player this month.
Walker, whose contract with City runs until 2026, had expressed a desire to experience playing abroad before the end of his career. Milan has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with the defender for a contract lasting until the end of the 2026-27 season, although talks over the potential buy option are ongoing.
Meanwhile, Barcelonaβs interest in Rashford appears to have cooled. The Catalan club is focusing on contract renewals and addressing Financial Fair Play concerns, rather than pursuing new signings. Despite Rashford’s reported interest in Barcelona, discussions have been limited due to financial constraints. Barcelona may only attempt a loan move for the forward if they can navigate FFP issues, with Manchester United potentially covering part of Rashford’s salary.
