Kristen Bell Shines as SAG Awards Host with Humor and Heartfelt Tributes

Kristen Bell took the spotlight at the 2025 SAG Awards, delivering a monologue that seamlessly combined humor with sincere acknowledgments.

Hosting the ceremony for the second time, Bell kicked off the night with a playful parody of Frozen’s hit song Do You Want to Build a Snowman?, humorously highlighting the awkward first roles many actors take early in their careers.

The event opened with a comedic sketch set in the Hacks universe, where Jean Smart’s character, Deborah Vance, hilariously realized she lost her hosting gig due to unpaid dues. After the lighthearted introduction, Bell took a moment to honor L.A. firefighters, who were seated at a special table in recognition of their service.

This year also marked Bell’s first nomination at the SAG Awards, as she was recognized in the category of Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her role in Nobody Wants This. Expressing her excitement, Bell shared that she was honored to be part of a night dedicated to celebrating actors and their craft.

SAG Awards executive producer Jon Brockett commended Bell’s wit and charisma, calling her the ideal choice for the event. The 2025 SAG Awards, streamed live on Netflix for the second consecutive year under its multi-year deal with SAG-AFTRA, was produced by Silent House Productions. With Bell’s signature charm and heartfelt tributes, the ceremony set the stage for an unforgettable awards season.
