Kieran Culkin’s Unconventional Proposal: A Love Story Between Two Dumpsters
Kieran Culkin, known for his Hollywood charm and role in *Succession*, may have won hearts on screen, but his real-life proposal to wife Jazz Charton was far from glamorous. In a recent interview with *The Sunday Times*, Jazz shared the quirky story of how Culkin popped the question in an unexpected location: between two dumpsters.
The unconventional moment took place during a road trip to California. Jazz recalled with a laugh, “He got down between two dumpsters and said, ‘Will you marry me?’ I was, like, ‘Really, here? I mean, yes, obviously, but really?’”
Despite the unusual setting, Jazz had no hesitation in saying yes. She knew early on that Kieran was the one, particularly after their memorable first meeting at a New York bar. “He was very forward but hilariously so,” she shared. When she asked for the name of a restaurant he mentioned, he quipped, “No, you idiot, I want to take you there.”
Earlier this month, Jazz found herself in the spotlight again following Kieran’s emotional Oscars win for his role in *A Real Pain*. During his acceptance speech, he playfully reminded her of a promise she had made: if he ever won an Academy Award, she’d give him a fourth child.
Jazz later took to Instagram to celebrate her husband’s achievement, joking that the “empty baby pacts” had proven to be a great motivator.
The couple’s love story, marked by humor and heartfelt moments, continues to captivate fans, proving that sometimes the most memorable proposals happen in the most unexpected places.
