In Islamabad today, British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ms. Jane Marriott, met with Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif.
During the meeting, the Minister emphasized that the relationship between Pakistan and the UK is rooted in mutual goals for global peace and security. He highlighted the significant role of the large Pakistani diaspora in the UK, describing it as a vital link between the two nations.
The Minister expressed optimism that sustained defence cooperation through established channels would lead to meaningful advancements in bilateral defence relations. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the current collaboration and underscored the importance of further enhancing the partnership.
