Karachi University Bans See-Through and Revealing Clothing

The University of Karachi has implemented a new dress code policy, urging students to wear clean, modest, and respectful attire while on campus. The guidelines, issued on January 14, 2025, by Dr. Nosheen Raza, the Students’ Advisor, outline the expectations for student clothing.

The policy mandates that students must wear neat and modest clothing that upholds the decorum of the academic environment. It specifically prohibits attire deemed provocative, distracting, or inappropriate, such as revealing or see-through clothing, shorts, sleeveless tops, tight-fitting clothes, or garments with offensive graphics or language. Additionally, casual footwear like flip-flops is not permitted within the university grounds.

All students are expected to comply with these regulations while attending classes and other activities on campus.
